lisamoeWell, today was once again pretty busy. Took the kids to breakfast at Shiloh Restaurant, then spent the morning with R and the family, ran and saw a custody kid, spent time at the funeral home with more family, went in to the office and cleared up a couple of pending things, ran and saw 4 more custody kids all over town, came and picked up my kids and took them to Target for new slacks and Reasors for groceries (we had to buy three loaves of bread because no two people will eat the same thing) and then home for some playtime and TV and talking to R on the phone a couple of times. And answering calls from other friends about the arrangements.

impsec came and took him out to dinner, which was something of a surprise I think. While he was sitting there he saw my parents' flowers being delivered so I called mamaduck and told her they had arrived fine. The kids and I bought my Mom some flowers today too. It seemed like a good day to appreciate her. I feel really good that the boys and I used to take flowers to my MIL regularly, even not on special occasions, but just because we knew she liked them. It's better to get them while you're still alive, don't you think?
I'm off to bed now. Tomorrow we'll have the service and after that I promise to stop posting about this and get back to the regularly scheduled tasteless jokes, amusing work and kid updates, and general snarkiness. I've just been awfully wrapped up in this stuff and have needed to let it out.
