I'm sure hoping I can start work this next week. I won't get paid til the middle of next month in any case, but if I start soon I'll get nearly a whole month's paycheck then. That will help so much. I'm really glad to be going back to work full time. I haven't worked full time since before the baby was born and I've forgotten what full time paychecks look like. And it will be so nice not to have that long drive every day like when I worked in Claremore.
Considering how much the drive added, I'm actually only adding one hour to my day, plus it seems like when I worked there before, my lunches and time off were pretty flexible. It's going to be really nice to be able to have lunch with friends in Tulsa, or when the kids have to go to the Dr or I have an errand or something, not to have an extra hour of drive time.
I never thought I'd want to go back to the state to work and I have really mixed feelings about it, but in this economy I'm just happy to have something solid and that I'm already trained for and that I can wear casualish clothes for and with decent pay (for me, anyway, I'm sure some of you would laugh yourselves silly over what I consider decent pay.)
Wish me speedy paperwork so I can get started!
