Scootering in the rain...
May. 10th, 2007 09:07 amEven though it's supposed to rain all day, I rode my scooter to work today. For one thing, gas is now $3 a gallon and my scooter gets 80 mpg. Plus it was nice and sunny when I left and I'm ever the optimist. And the darn thing has needed tires and work on the fuel system, so I haven't been riding it much since I got it way back last summer, and now everything's fixed and I have new tires and I just want to ride it. The worst that happens is that I have to ride home in the rain today, and I have a helmet and waterproof jacket, so I imagine I'll live.
I've got a number of things that need to be done to my cars, but after that I'm going to work on prettying the scooter up. It's 22 years old and is showing its age, cosmetically speaking. On the other hand, it runs nice and strong and is pretty zippy for a little scooter, so I guess I can't complain, but I would like to get a new windshield and a few of the plastic pieces replaced.
