My kids is geeniuses.
Sep. 8th, 2005 06:06 pmToday I had that moment that makes every parent's heart swell with pride.
My 4 year-old ran up weeping, pointing at his nose and saying something unintelligible, which I finally deciphered as "It's STUCK!" After some pantomime, I determined that he had put an undetermined number of pieces of Cap'n Crunch cereal in his nose. Yay for Davey! I thought about calling his pediatrician, but it was already 5:00 and realized that we would have had to go to the emergency room and sit for four hours with him still bawling. I figured that under the circumstances, I should take a stab at it myself, so armed with a small keychain flashlight, some q-tips (and an Oreo to quiet him down) I undertook the delicate but gross surgery and was, in fact, able to dislodge the offending breakfast treats from his nasal passage. Yay me. But I have lost my appetite for Cap'n Crunch. I hope that's temporary.
