Hey kaon, at the state fair today, the EMSA paramedics who were on hand throughout the fair were all riding Segways. I just thought that was a good use for them.
That's pretty cool. Someone told me that they're using them in some big airport too, Hartsfield in Atlanta. (I think - I'm so scatterbrained about these things, it's probably somewhere in Canada or something.)
I actually pointed them out to the kids, but they just kind of looked at them and went on. I guess they just kind of blended in to the fair hubbub for them. I wish I'd had one though. I was pretty tired after four hours at the fair.
Damn, I missed that! I ended up not doing the booth, cuz, well.....I didn't wanna. I wanted to spend time at the fair w/ my kids. And we did. About 5 hours worth. No rides, but that's the rules. The kids had fun, and everytime we passed a food booth Alex said "I'm hungwy" Eventually, we got snacks. UGH....fair food is too damned expensive. Someone needs a fair food booth that is reasonably priced.
Maybe they just blend in with all the other cool stuff which kids see these days. Next time you want to go the fair, you're certainly welcome to borrow the HT. :)
