I went crazy at the store.

Today I went to Kohls to use up $30 in gift certificates. I had planned to get two gifts that would come out to about $30, but they didn't have either one. The certificates expire tomorrow, so I decided I'd best get something and I ended up going on a spending spree for myself. I don't normally do that, not since I've had kids. I usually buy individual items at discount stores as needed, but today I bought a short brown corduroy skirt, a nice striped sweater that matches it, a grey sweater coat/dress, an adorable black jacket and a super soft graphic tee from the men's dept. It was about $200 worth of stuff, but my out of pocket expense was $31.76. I am super happy and need no Xmas now, because I bought my own. :-)

Good for you!! I know what you mean about buying stuff for yourself once you're a parent. Since my kids have gotten older, I've actually went shopping a few times and I always feel so decadent buying anything for myself:)
