I'm going to play soccer!!!

So this girl Mandy at my work plays on a soccer team. Today she mentioned that they needed players. I have been looking for a soccer team for a couple of years, but have had a hard time getting ahold of anyone and have been apprehensive about just calling some team out of the blue anyway. So I told Mandy I'd play in a heartbeat but am probably too old and fat for her team (she is skinny and young) and she said there were women bigger and older than me on the team, that it's a lower division team and I would be fine! As soon as they start practicing indoors, I'm going to start going and hopefully they will want me. She said they especially need a goalie and I love playing goalie, but I would play whatever they had. I've played every position and would give anything a try. Admittedly it's been 20 years since I played, but I did play for 10 years before that and I know I still have some skills since I got to use them a bit when I coached Dingo this spring. Happy Day!
