City Museum--My kids disappeared into this fish 1st thing upon arrival

I cannot believe I climbed up in all those things too, but I forgot I was 37. I sure remembered by the time we were done though, lol.

I'm way behind on lj posting in general, I still have two days of vacation to get down here, plue the things that have happened since I got back and some commenting I need to do.

Hahaha! That's exactly what I said after I lacerated my ankle sliding down some iron rods. They need a t-shirt that says "I caught tetanus at the City Museum." I would so do it again though.

Man, you didn't have to sign nothin'. And they serve beer (to adults) right in Monstrocity, which you know adds to the safety, lol. I love how carefree the whole thing is. Like they didn't consult safety experts and playground planners and stuff, they just got some welding torches and old junk and got busy. Truly though, all the high up things are enclosed by high railings and wire enclosures. I don't think much could happen beyond a few bruises or scrapes from playing on hard surfaces, and if one is the kind of person that bothers, I guess just don't go, yanno?

You know something like that would never fly here in Tulsa!! I mean, good lord, look at what they did to promenade mall after some dumbass kid about fell through the second floor railings...and that was after 15 years of it being there! I'm afraid of heights, but I know my kiddos are fearless and would LOVE IT!

Tulsa would go up in arms about that, though. There would be a city councel meeting about it every week, discussing anal-retentively about how this that and another could happen...but probably never will.

It looks a like a hell of a lot more fun than those dinky water parks we have here. Hmmmm... tetanus vs brain amoeba... I'll take my chances with the tetanus!

And that's in Kansas City? Or Chicago? I can't keep track of where you all went!

Yeah, there's no way you could get that done here. I don't know how they did it there, but I'm glad they did.
